InterEast’s new Head of Operations

The transport and logtech company InterEast strengthens its position in Europe by setting up the new roll Head of Operations. Marcus Fagerlund has been recruited for the position, which aims to optimize and develop InterEast’s services. Marcus previously worked at Schenker – first as Department Manager with a focus on traffic and terminal operations and lastly as Terminal Operations Process Specialist at Schenker’s head office in Sweden.

The responsibilities of the service is something I am passionate about. I am proud to be a key part of InterEast’s to reach our vision. This is a unique chance to be involved in an automation and sustainability journey that contributes to changing environmental thinking in the transport sector.

There are of course added challenges in the tracks of Covid-19. But with dedicated staff and the right conditions, I´ll believe we can achieve our goals delivering better sustainable transport solutions to all, comments Marcus Fagerlund.

For the last years, InterEast has been developing a next-generation booking portal, Elise, that will hit the market in 2022. Combining that venture with a goal for delivering a market-leading product InterEast is entering a new phase.

–  I’m very happy that Marcus chooses InterEast and our journey ahead! His experience and proven ability to drive change will be valuable assets in his new role. This is key recruitment for us and will contribute to our vision to become truly sustainable by 2025, says Oscar Törnqvist, CEO of InterEast.
